Cloud Based Technology Is A Term

Cloud based technology is a term that refers to applications, services or resources made available on demand over the internet from cloud computing servers. There are over thousands of cloud based technology applications, services or resources made available. Some cloud based technologies include sites such as drop box, google apps, quick books online, skype, open air, smart phone services and eucalyptus. These sites can be used to store all of your personal details on the world wide web and can only be accessible for you. Although this may seem like a good thing there have been some cases where certain cloud based technology have been hacked.

Cloud computing is a word that means different things to different people. For some, it’s just another way of describing information technology. But for others it can create easier business opportunities and easier when sharing.

When looking further into cloud based technology; it is flexible as you can fit large file types in it. Automatic software updates are available, just like ITunes certain cloud based technologies give you the option to turn on automatic updates. Although there is a downfall too this as when it automatically updates, in some cases it could bug and there would be no way of fixing it until the next update. This can be bad if you are using cloud based technology in your business.

Another is working from anywhere around the world, if you have an internet connection, you can access your cloud based technology on the go. The only thing that could go potentially wrong with this is if you are on an unsafe connection, which can be easily hackable, which if you have a very popular business it can happen.

You also have easier document control, you can move documents into folders, share documents on the web and email documents to clients in one simple click. The only thing that could potentially go wrong is that someone could copy your stuff.

Cloud based technologies are environmentally friendly in the sense that it’s all online and even though your work is online, it can still be accessed.

But moving to cloud based technology also mean added costs, some of which are unexpected, some organisations are considering going with cloud based technology. But there are some complications such as moving and storing data, it can cost money and if you’re unaware of this? Then the money builds up. It can cost tens of thousands of dollars per year to move large volumes of data to public cloud services and to store that data for long periods of time.

So should you go out and get cloud based technology for your business? Security can improve due to centralization of data, increased security-focused resources, etc., but concerns can persist about loss of control over certain sensitive data, and the lack of security for stored kernels. Security is often as good as or better than other traditional systems, in part because providers are able to devote resources to solving security issues that many customers cannot afford to tackle. However, the complexity of security is greatly increased when data is distributed over a wider area or over a greater number of devices, as well as in multi-tenant systems shared by unrelated users.

Reliability improves with the use of multiple redundant sites, which makes well-designed cloud computing suitable for business continuity and disaster recovery. Productivity may be increased when multiple users can work on the same data simultaneously, rather than waiting for it to be saved and emailed. Time may be saved as information does not need to be re-entered when fields are matched, nor do users need to install application software upgrades to their computer. Different sorts of cloud, such as private cloud Private cloud is cloud infrastructure operated solely for a single organization, whether managed internally or by a third-party, and hosted either internally or externally public cloud A cloud is called a "public cloud" when the services are rendered over a network that is open for public use. Public cloud services may be free. Technically there may be little or no difference between public and private cloud architecture, however, security consideration may be substantially different for services (applications, storage, and other resources) that are made available by a service provider for a public audience and when communication is effected over a non-trusted network. and hybrid cloud Hybrid cloud is a composition of two or more clouds (private, community or public) that remain distinct entities but are bound together, offering the benefits of multiple deployment models.
